Rating:
Rat studies report faster tendon healing. Human proof consists of a few small uncontrolled pilot reports.
The evidence
A 2025 systematic review found 36 studies of BPC-157 for musculoskeletal injury: 35 preclinical and one clinical. The clinical study was a retrospective review of patients with knee pain with no control group. The original rat Achilles tendon work is real but in an animal model. No randomized controlled trial has shown BPC-157 heals tendons in people.
